Hi, friend!  I'm Corry.

Where are my fellow photographers?! I know you’re out there, and you may be trying to figure out how to add serving Seniors to your photography business. But you aren’t sure how to dip your toe in that pond or maybe you’ve tried but haven’t found your groove yet. Well, look no further, friend! It’s been my passion for the last seven years to serve high school Seniors (and their families) and I’m here to help you get started with the heart of Senior Photography!!

An Amazing Client Experience

If you’d like to figure out how to market , create an AMAZING client experience, and become known as the GO TO Senior photographer in your area then you and I are a match made in heaven! I know how tough it can be navigating social media, do I do prints or digitals, even figuring out how to even get your first Senior client and that’s why I’m here to help!

Over the next several weeks, I’ll be here to answer questions, share tips and tricks and help you prepare your photography business for adding Senior photography to your offerings!

My first tip is to know that you aren’t simply marketing to Seniors…you are also marketing to Senior Parents (typically moms). The kids are the ones who will choose you, but the moms are the ones who are usually paying…so take that into account when you are creating your marketing and social media content. Showing scantily clad, half nude teenagers who would make most moms cringe…not such a good idea if you want to book 16-18 year old clients. I know as a mom to my own Senior daughters…that would be a huge NO!!!

Creating an experience for moms and Seniors is important because teens talk but word of mouth in the mom circles also travels pretty darn fast. As a mom myself, I can tell you that the Senior year is a VERY EMOTIONAL season. One minute they look grown and you are signing up for college housing and the next glimpse you get of them, the wind catches their hair just right and they look like they did when they were 4 years old in that park that one day eating an ice cream cone. This is how moms feel during the Senior year….it’s a tug of war emotionally. So know that, serve them well, honor their feelings, make them a part of the amazing experience you create for their child…and they will literally not only become your friends…but also they will help you build your business!!! I cherish my photography moms….they have literally become some of my dearest friends!!

My clients over the years aren’t just clients…we have celebrated this huge milestone together, but we also see each other at high school football games or at the drugstore or downtown on a Friday night having dinner and listening to a local band. When you stop looking at your business as a simple business transaction and instead like a special gift that you get to be a part of this once in a lifetime milestone that will literally NEVER happen again….you will see real success.

In fact, my 2017 Seniors are now preparing to graduate from college in the coming weeks. And thinking back to just four years ago, they were preparing to graduate high school….it makes me teary eyed!!! I had an amazing Senior Model Team that year!!! We had the most fun!! And we made incredible memories!! We still keep in touch and in fact, I just popped into our old team Facebook group today to let them know how proud I am of them all!!! Some are heading to Grad school, some are heading off to new cities for job opportunities, some are coming home to find jobs in our seaside town, and some are still unsure as to what the next chapter holds….but we will always be connected and I am forever cheering for them! I pray over them and I love seeing their updates on social media or when I run into their parents in town. This is the heart of Senior Photography. If this is the kind of business you are looking to create, I can help you!!

Now’s your chance to pick my brain. What can I help you with today?

Blessings,

Corry
