When we lived in Japan I craved my favorite dishes from La Hacienda back in Beaufort SC…and when you then get pregnant…those cravings become even more intense!! haha
I really wanted salsa…we had two brands of the jarred kind (yes, you read that right..just two) but they weren’t hitting the mark for my tastebuds. So on a trip back to the States for a school, Kevin picked up two recipe books in a Texas airport. We played with several of the recipes until we got it just right….and now I’m sharing my secret salsa with you…because I love you! haha…No really, I do!
Salsa:
1 can of diced tomatoes
1 spoonful of jarred or fresh jalapenos (seeded and chopped)
1 handful of cilantro chopped
1 spoonful of chopped garlic or garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
dash of italian seasoning
grated white onion or chopped green onions (add as much or as little as you like)
squeeze of fresh lime juice or one drop of YL lime vitality oil
Chop the hell out of it with a food chopper or sometimes I just dump it all in the blender. Enjoy!
(I apologize now for my lack of measuring…but it really is a recipe that’s simple and you just add to your taste)
Let me know if you make it and how yummy it is!!
Blessings,
Corry
