Wow! Wow! Wow! What a gorgeous girl and what a gorgeous night!!! 🙂 We spent a lot of time planning out Alexandria’s downtown session….it was truly a coordination effort of parking sailboats, gaining access to a gorgeous home, and then QUICKLY running to a few other local spots to grab the shots Alexandria wanted. And I think the joint effort enabled us to pull off an AMAZING Senior Portrait session!!
We met this sweet family when we moved here five years ago. They welcomed us with open arms and even let us swim, shower, and enjoy the cool AC when a hurricane hit our first fall here. Yes, welcome to NC!! I was thinking it was time to head back to Hawaii at that point! 🙂 But the Chadwicks helped make our transition a smooth one by their generosity and hospitality. Allie’s mom Donna and I have shared many laughs (and a few tears) as we taught together at our local elementary school. When you are cheering your babies on to be the best they can be….it’s quite emotional! I can still hear my tiny kinders  shout out “Mrs. Chadwick’s here!” when she would swing through to pick up her small group kiddos.
Alexandria is definitely a girl on a mission! She is a bright, hard working young woman with a very determined spirit! I loved hearing her teary-eyed stories of 3 am study sessions for AP US History ….it truly exemplified her work ethic! Donna and I would just shake our heads! Â I’ll also never forget putting Alexandria and our Grace on a plane to head to Westpoint for a leadership conference last year. Donna cried, I cried…while Scott and Kevin cheered them on and rolled their eyes at us!! Hahaha!! I’ll also never forget the terrifying late night phone call saying their return flight from Charlotte was cancelled and they’d be sleeping in the airport for the night until they could catch a flight the next day. Alexandria and Grace handled it all extremely well, meanwhile Donna and I fell apart! We set out for Charlotte to pick them up, not willing to wait for the airlines to get their act together. Everyone arrived home safely…but now we share a crazy story with this awesome family that we’ll never forget!!!
Alexandria, I hope you enjoy these portraits that capture your beauty, both inside and out! God has big plans for you! I pray that you have an amazing Senior year. Â You will all share many laughs, make many memories, and shed many tears when it comes to an end. Â Hugs and love!!
