Last night I met with a client (love her dearly) to order from her recent session.  It was truly one of my favorite sessions…it was in their backyard…their own little place in the world.  Their property is gorgeous and it was so fun to watch them be playful and capture the love they have for one another.  She booked this session with a plan in mind…she had some places in her home that needed updated portraits and she had another spot she wanted to make a collage of her favorites.  I mentioned to her then that she could come over and I’d be glad to help her pick out the art work and help her arrange it.  I’m so thankful she took me up on my offer!!!

I cannot tell you how often clients never print or order anything from their session.  Even if they have the digital files, life gets busy and the task of choosing, deciding on size, and placing the order just doesn’t happen.  Annnndddd….if you’re like me, you sometimes order your favorite images from your session in varying sizes without a plan and once they arrive, you realize that the prints don’t really work together in your space. (Can I get an Amen on feeling horrible when you think about the wasted $$ ????)  Either you have too many landscape and not enough portrait or there are some great ones of two kiddos and you forgot to choose one that matches of the third child.  Then, you end up with a pile of prints that you never frame and hang.  I’m embarrassed to tell you how much wasted $$ I have sitting in my cabinet because I didn’t plan out my order ahead of time.

The new app I have is soooo amazing and SOLVES this problem!!  My client was able to take a pic of the two spaces we were ordering for, send them to my dropbox, we pulled them up and placed her favorite images  on her virtual wall.  It was super easy to change images in and out and realize that this image wouldn’t work, but this one would….that the canvas would fit perfectly on the staircase…and she should could go bigger for a better impact.

I don’t believe in a high pressure sells model…I believe in an educated one.  I’m not here to sell you items you don’t need, I’m here to help you get what you really want.  To make sure you don’t waste money, that your investment is well spent on quality products that you’ll have on your walls for years to come.  A happy client is what I’m looking for, not a $$ amount.  So please take advantage of working with your photographer to order great products, trust that we know how to help you choose exactly what you need.  If you are one of my former clients…it’s not too late to set up your own custom ordering session.  Bring me pics of your space and I’ll help you create beautiful artwork for your home.  🙂
