Can we say GORGEOUS!?!?!?!! Oh my golly…she is so beautiful and so sweet!!! We met up on a cold morning downtown with three awesome looks for Taylor. She did a great job choosing a wardrobe that was comfortable, had great layers, pops of colors, and complimented our background perfectly!! I think she must have read my Senior Session Guide! 🙂 I explained to Taylor that we always start out with a “plan” but often times, I just see a little nook and I’ll ask her to hop in and we’ll start snapping away. She thought I was crazy (and I am :-)) ….but she was a good sport and went along with my “non-plan”. I think sometimes when we have preconceived ideas and try so hard to stick to the “planned shoot”…we miss amazing light, great little spots of color, gorgeous lines, or interesting textures. No matter how many times I shoot at a location, my eyes see something different everytime I’m there. We lucked out with a great boat at the docks…so we stood in front of it for a few shots….sooooo cool…and soooo not on my plan….but we ran with it and got great shots!!! If you’re a photographer, trust your eye and if you are typically super planned and structured with your setups or shoots…try being a little more fluid with your approach….you might end up with something really awesome that’s out of your norm. If you are typically on the other side of the camera as a client….trust the process and even though you may have “pinterest” ideas of what your session will turn out to be, you may be surprised at what awesomeness your photographer will create. That’s why it’s so important to know your photographer’s style and choose wisely. Taylor, you totally rocked out your session and I think you’ve done an amazing job of transitioning to a new school!! I wish you the best of luck and I pray that you LOVE your portraits as much as I do!!!!! You are a true gem!!!
