I was an original “scrapbooker”…meaning, I started before I owned a digital camera…you know, I took pics, developed the film, cut/pasted photos into a big book and wrote down where we were and what we were doing.  It was my way of documenting our lives to preserve the memories for our children one day.  Little did I know how things would evolve.  That there would be smart phones where we would walk around with our photos and facetime in the grocery store.  But can I tell you that our girls still go back to those scrapbooks to flip through and laugh about the memories that those pages hold.

The method of capturing memories and creating albums may have changed….but the importance of being able to physically touch the images has not.  There’s still something magical about flipping through those pages and going back to that day, that time, that place.

I’ve missed creating books for our family and our girls.  In fact, I’m about 12 years behind….but I’m on a mission to catch up!!  🙂
