We’ve often heard that a picture is worth 1000 words. Which I feel is totally true. We all know that an image can move us to tears, make us laugh, and take us right back to a certain place and time. Never underestimate the power of a picture. We all love photography, but do we all know how it can be used in business to increase sales? So let’s look at 3 ways that Brand Photography impacts your business in big ways.
Brand Photography shows your clients what it looks like to work with you and WHO you are for. Think about it, we all love “behind the scenes” on social media. Why?!?! Because we like to see how things come together, how things go on behind the curtain, and the real breakdown of what they can expect when they choose your service or product. These types of images allow you to paint the story of your offerings and how you can help them achieve whatever it is they would be coming to you for. It also gives you a chance to bring in “model clients” to shoot with so that they can imagine what working with you would look like. We often times have to SHOW people what it is that we can offer…remember, a picture is worth 1000 words!
Brand Photography also helps tell your potential and current clients where they can work with you. Where can they find you, where can they book services with you, where do you actually meet with them? These all sound very basic, but they truly are important and make a huge impact. These are those call to action posts or images. I was recently chatting with one of my Brand Photography Membership clients and she was saying that in looking back over her images from the last shoot, one of her highest engaging posts was the one below where she was looking working on her laptop with her website pulled up and I was shooting over her shoulder. It was a simple shot that we did just one of…but it was IMPACTFUL!! She shared it as a reminder that they not only have a brick and mortar storefront but they also have a website. She got tons of engagement and clicks back to her website by simply reminding people that she has a website and it’s full of helpful resources and things they can buy. Going back to basics often times has a huge ROI!!!
Brand Photography will help you clients get to know YOU! That’s one of the biggest advantages of branding images….they set you apart. Yes, the majority of your marketing should be about how you can help them and guide them to the results they are looking for…but YOU are the magic sauce that helps them do that best. You are what differentiates you from all other business owners. With brand photography, we get to show how you shine when you are working with clients. It allows you to be highlighted as the Expert Guide who will help them win!! If you have read the book Storybrand by Donald Miller…I highly encourage you to read it if you haven’t….but this aligns perfectly with marketing in today’s business world. People do business with people they know, like and trust…and they need to see your face to connect with you, to hear your voice, and to make purchasing decisions with your brand.
Don’t shy away from the camera…just hire a photographer who will gently hold your hand through the process and make sure they capture images like these to really showcase how brand photography makes lasting impacts on your business!
