What a beautiful night we had on Camp Lejeune two weeks ago!!!! Oh my gracious…the weather was perfect, the sunset was gorgeous, and Abby Kate was stunning!!!!
Abby Kate is a Marine Corps kiddo with her dad stationed aboard Camp Lejeune. I so love working with military families because we share such fun stories….and it always seems that we find a connection or friend that we have in common. It’s actually quite a small community. The stories we tell and the frustrations we share from this season of our lives always warm my heart…because I too am a military mama with military kiddos trying to navigate this crazy season of covid, senior year and the craziness of Marine Corps life.
We decided to shoot in their neighborhood and then out by the water because these are the areas that their family have spent a lot of time in. They’ve been stationed here quite a few times…so capturing these memories was super special. It’s amazing to me how we can find the simplest of areas and with a beautiful girl, a little sunlight, and some imagination….we can create magic. You don’t need fancy set ups, or big locations, or all the bells and whistles…it was just me, Abby Kate, her mom, sister, and my camera. And it was a recipe for pure Senior portrait magic.
Here’s to a great session Abby Kate and I can’t wait to follow your travels and journeys!!!
Blessings,
Corry
