It’s Senior Portrait Season and I am BEYOND thrilled!!!!! These kids touch my heart and I remain their cheerleader for years to come!!! Getting to know them, photographing their most important year so far, then watching them kill it as they head into graduation and then tearfully watching them all head off to their new adventures at the end of the summer is what truly makes me LOVE what I do. It’s not just a job…I feel like it’s my calling and a blessing.
I’ve known Molly for several years because she’s in our church’s youth group and she’s dear friends with our oldest daughter. Molly has an AMAZING sense of humor and had me rolling all through her session. In fact, the entire Walsh family has a wildly hilarious spirit. They remind me so much of our family….constant kidding and quick witted!!! So you know we had a blast at Molly’s session because Mom, Dad, and even her grandparents were there because we were using their family’s beach house on Emerald Isle to shoot at.
Y’all…..the weather that night was INSANE!!!!!! It was calling for rain the night before, but then went down to 10% that morning. So we were thinking we were in the clear. That was until 4pm when Molly was getting her hair and makeup done and we checked the weather one more time and realized a huge storm had blown up all of a sudden. Grrrr….gotta love NC summer weather on the coast.
Needless to say, it poured on us all the way to the beach house and when we showed up it looked promising so we hung around and were finally able to get out under the porches to get a few. And luckily the Lord was on our side and the heavens parted and the sun shown!!!! It was a gloriously beautiful sunset that night. We even had a rainbow!!!!
Molly did a great job with being patient and going with the flow. I on the other hand was a little stressed…but hey, it makes for a great story!! hahahahaha When we got started, Molly was a rockstar and totally nailed her poses and her looks and we had so much fun!! We even jogged down the beach to catch the pier just as the sun was setting. I was extremely winded…but Molly was glowing and totally killed it!!!! It was such a fun night!!!!
