For those of you who saw on my Insta-feed last week, I said I had a big announcement coming this week!!!  Well…. without further ado…  Meet Jen!!!!

The amazing Jen Hall  has joined my team at CFP and I am sooooo thrilled!!! We’ve been friends for a while, had just finished a devotional study together…and then God walked in!  Seriously…get ready for this story!

So I was reading Mark Batterson’s Draw the Circle with Jen and our dear friend Kim.  It was a 40 Day prayer challenge.  We’d read each day, text each other…yes, that’s what busy, working moms of teenagers do.  Tis the season of our life right now.  🙂 Anyway, we all really loved the book and sharing it with each other.  We all felt God really working in our lives during this challenge.  But we had NO IDEA how much He was really working!! Kim laughed later and said “I literally saw God work right before my eyes!”  🙂

We decided to meet for brunch at a wonderful restaurant on the Island called The Trading Post…if you are ever visiting Emerald Isle, you MUST stop in for a bite!!  Delicious!!  Anyway, we ate, we talked, we laughed…it was a great morning of girl time!  As we discussed our work and our families, Jen mentioned that she was subbing, and although she enjoyed it…she felt like she was missing out on something.  And I promise you it was like God opened the Heavens (actually, he made my hands start to tremble and my voice quivered a bit)…but I KNEW that my prayers had just been answered.  She literally hadn’t even said any more than that…but I just KNEW!!

You see, my business has been such a blessing!! My amount of clients has doubled in the last year since I took it back to a full time status.  And while that is a huge blessing, it also means that my workload has doubled.  I am definitely an “I can do it all” type of person.  I’m a mom to three teenagers, a military spouse whose hubby is often traveling, a business owner, a creative, a friend, a sister, and daughter…like, I got it all..I’m good to go!!  But I also know that in business, if you want it to grow, you need help.  In the last few months, I knew that I was at a point where I either had to hire someone to help me with some tasks or I was going to have to scale back a little because I couldn’t do it alone.

During the 40 Day Prayer Challenge with Jen and Kim,  that was one of the things I had prayed about.  Discernment.  Where was I going with this?!?!  When Jen said that sentence about something missing, it was instant clarity for me.  I knew I had to ask her.  Like literally, the words flew out of my mouth before I could even think about it.  I told her a little about my idea and she grinned.  It was like we just knew.

Jen has joined my team and is helping out with a lot of my office stuff.  Her strengths are definitely where my weaknesses are!  She’s organized where I’m a hot mess…she’s a planner where I’m a little too spontaneous…and she tells me to rest when I’m working too late.  She’s such a blessing!

So please help me make her feel welcome!  And THANKS SO MUCH Jen for all the changes you’ve already helped me make!!!
