Hi, friend!  I'm Corry.

This one is for the record books!!! Can I just tell you that this was my first time shooting on this gorgeous farm and it was AMAZING!! The early morning light, the textures, the vineyard, the farm equipment….and OMG…the COWS!!! It was a blast!!

Gabi is one of my Senior Reps from Carteret County and I absolutely love her sweet family! I met them on the beach last summer when we met to do a mulit-family shoot while their family was visiting from Michigan. They are such a wonderful family!! Her cousin, Trysten, came back down this summer to do his Senior Portraits with me and his session was a blast too! I was so excited when it was Gabi’s turn!!

So we headed out at O’dark thirty for this session because I wanted to have that glorious golden sunrise light. And it didn’t disappoint! Two of my interns joined us and it was fun teaching them about lighting, posing, and composition. I have to get used to teaching as I shoot. I often times get lost in what I’m seeing and doing….everything around me fades away….so I’ll have to learn to pull back a little and explain what I’m seeing and doing. But I hope they got a little something out of our shoot!

Gabi really wanted the fall, rustic look. Her mom said maybe she should have been a “farmer’s daughter”. She was right at home on the farm and was up for anything I asked of her. When she saw those silos, you could see her heart melt a little. She had a “Chip and Jojo” moment….Fixer Upper is one of her obsessions!!! So she got to play “Joanna Gaines” and get right on up next to the silos. They made for great texture, great lines, and a great natural reflector!

As we were heading out, we crossed the street to my friend’s house to see if we could use the barn real quick. So thankful that her hubby was home and he was willing to let us in the pasture where the cows were. Now let me say that she told me we could go in even if they weren’t home….but when she said to just grab a stick because there was a bull in there, I had already decided we were not going in the pasture!! But since her hubby was with us and Gabi and her mom were up for it….we went in. Can I just say that cows are very curious creatures! As soon as they saw us, they came right over. It was almost like how a dog would come to greet a visitor. They even “posed” for a few shots….meaning they stood really still and looked at the camera!! It was sooooo fun!!!!

Thanks so much to Miss Gabi and her mom Danielle for helping me get the word out there about my growing business!! I LOVE my awesome clients!!! Enjoy this sneak peek Gabi!!

Blessings,
Ms. Corry
