Adapt & Overcome was the name of our game this past Sunday afternoon for our Senior Model Shoot!!! It could have been a recipe for disaster: rain, stomach bug for our Hair & Makeup Team, 50 Degree temps on the 1st Day of Spring, late pizza delivery for starving & hardworking teenagers. But we didn’t let any of those factors ruin our fabulous afternoon!!! Yes, we were cold…yes, we were doing hair & makeup in my kitchen…yes, our curls drooped a little…but we went with Plan B, laughed, worked hard, and cheered for each other! I had AMAZING friends step up to the plate as I was frantically texting my way through church…don’t worry, I was praying to God the entire time!! 🙂 Our prayers were answered though…friends came through, moms helped out, the rain stopped, the wonderful pizza lady Allison showed up with smile on her face, and we walked away with AMAZING portraits for our Seniors!!! It was PERFECT in the most imperfect way!! HAHAHA!!
I have to say thank you to my fabulous team of models!!! They were willing to listen to my crazy ideas, throw out their own ideas, model like pros, and truly respect the estate that were so graciously given for our shoot!! These kids are THE BEST and I will be forever grateful!!! There are so many more images to come guys….after break, I promise! Enjoy your sneak peek!!
I also have to say a HUGE thanks to Kim, Donna, Heather, Mrs. Oriol, Tiffany, Joy, & Christy!! I couldn’t have done it without you!! You are all a blessing in my life and the lives of these kids!
Another special thank you to Stephanie, owner of Dreammakers Events and the Watson House….it was a dream location!!! I heard the girls all say “I’m totally getting married here!” Your generosity is so appreciated!!!
Looking back, we walked away with more than just some awesome portraits & a successful shoot….we learned to not let obstacles and circumstances stand in our way. We learned to always have another plan…it may be B, C, D, or E….but never think that you’re stuck. We also learned to work together, accept help from those who care, and when in doubt….always have extra blankets in your car!!!! hahahaha!!! (see the last cell phone pic with rain boots and blankets….more behind the scenes pics to come) 🙂
Many Blessings,
