It’s Time to “Home Edit” Your Business:  Let’s Clear Out the Clutter to Uplevel Your Client Experience

Who else has binge watched Season 2 of the Netflix hit The Home Edit? 

Yep…me too…SAME!!!  It’s sooooo good! And if you haven’t watched it yet…RUN!!! You’ll seriously want to clean out every closet, drawer, and cupboard in your home! No, seriously I need all the containers and label stickers now!

And what makes it so good is that clearing out the chaos brings peace and calm to a space.  

Do you ever feel like you have too much chaos in your business?  

Do you ever wonder where that email or DM went?  

Do you wake up at 2am thinking about that person you were supposed to email but you can’t seem to remember who it was? 

Do you show up for tax season with a shoe box of receipts and a half grin knowing that you’re a hot mess??!!

Are you still emailing client contracts (wait, you do have contracts rights?!?!) that they have to print and sign?

Do you find yourself  having to write the same email again and again…answering the same questions again and again?

Do you wish more referrals would come in instead of feeling like you are constantly chasing your next client?

It’s time for a “Business Edit”!!!!  

The first thing I would suggest is to do what Clea and Joanna do …

Clear It All Out!!!  

Get out all your business “stuff”…pull out all your binders, your contracts, your branded materials, all your google files or emails…just pull it all out! 

Then you’ll want to CATEGORIZE.  

What processes in your backend business are working and what is not working?  Decide what you are keeping and what you are getting rid of?  Do you need to dump those business cards from 2017?  YES!  Do you need to get rid of those contracts that are out of date from 2019?  YES!  Do you need to keep your current offerings?  Maybe….What about your pricing structures?  Are they good or do they need some tweaking? 

Now let’s CONTAIN.

The BEST part to all of this is you know how when they come into the room on the show and everyone gasps and is just in awe of how great it all is…that’s how I feel when I tweak things in my Honeybook system!!!!!!  Ahhhhhh…the heavens open and the angels sing!!!

And guess what…your clients will be equally impressed when they are introduced to your business by beautiful responses, the ease of seeing your offers show up as brochures in their inbox, and the brilliance of sending and receiving contracts, payments, and even payment plans through your beautifully branded Honeybook system!!!  

Each client lives in their own “project bucket”…so no emails go missing, no contracts miss a signature, and the workflow is a brilliant system!  This also makes it easy to hand over to a VA when you are ready for that!  

By elevating your client experience with your business, you not only impress the clients you are currently working with, but you are also more likely to get those referrals because when clients LOVE something, they share it!!!! 

Focus on taking an afternoon or a weekend and dig into those cobwebs you’ve been hiding in the backend of your business and let’s get it all sorted into shiny new containers so you will be less stressed and your clients will be super impressed!!!
