Guys….Stacie Hubbard Photography’s Branding Session was out of this worllllddddd!!!!! I was grinning from ear to ear when I got in the car to head home from Fredericksburg!!!! Seriously….working with small business owners makes my heart soar and being able to dream up a vision, create a plan, shoot images that they will use FOREVER to grow their business…it’s simply divine!!!! Here are some of what we created for Stacie. I’ll show you the Top 3 Types of images business owners need…make sure you get during your branding shoots.
Yes, I did say head shots…as in plural. One head shot is not enough these days!!! We use these in social media posts, on our websites, in ads, promos, publications, if we are doing an online summit or speaking engagement, for bios, our linkedin profiles…the list goes on and on.
Don’t you like to do business with people that we Know, Like, and Trust? We can build that Know, Like, and Trust factor by having people see our faces, hear our message, and understand our heartfelt sentiments. We connect through stories and shared experiences…and we need to SEE each other to “see” each other.
Multiple outfits, showcasing multiple seasons (another blog post coming soon about that), multiple moods, multiple locations and backgrounds…it all matters and is important!
Now let’s look at the seasonality of her images…these can carry her from winter, spring, summer and into fall. Consider that as you are planning your wardrobe.
2. Negative Space
You will want and need images with negative space so that you can add text or graphics to them. This can be easily done through Canva. These are great for launches, promos or sales that you are offering throughout the year. By having these types of shots, it makes these special occasions so easy to promote. They also make great Pinterest pins if you are utilizing that search engine for your content and business.
3. Show Your Personality
This is key in building the Know Like and Trust factor…show some Behind the Scenes stuff, or show your silly side, or your sentimental side, or your fave coffee spot or your fun shoes that are on brand or your family or your hobby…get personal and be willing to be a little vulnerable. Sharing this type of image can also help people get an idea of what it’s like to work with you. Making it likely that they will choose you over someone who is not sharing behind the scenes of their work and doesn’t look like a REAL person. This is where we are building the connection with our audience.
I hope these Top 3 Types of Images Business Owners Need were helpful tips and that you can use these ideas when planning your next branding photo shoot.
