I shared the importance about making sure you pick up that camera that’s sitting on the shelf collecting dust….I mean, you’ve purchase it…it’s right there…now you just have to use it.  🙂

So many people know how convenient it is to just pop up their IPhone and snap a quick pic to document their day or event, and while this may be true…you are missing out on capturing some precious moments in an AH-MAZING way!!

When we went to NYC a few years ago, I had all the plans to take my big camera around the city as we toured. Unfortunately, I decided not to take it a few days we were there and I’m sooooo regretting it! We ate at some fun places, we saw some really cool things, and we had a BLAST…and I so wish I didn’t just have my IPhone on those days.  I did make sure I took it out for one of our days and I was able to capture some beautiful images of the girls in the city!!

These are a few of my IPhone pics from the trip.  You can see that I have limited control in low light situations and they could have been so much better if I had used my DSLR camera!!

And these are from the day I took my fancy camera out:  With my DSLR camera, I’m able to control my settings like ISO and Aperture and also my exposure and shutter speed.  Just a few little tweaks and I could have totally had amazing pictures of our NYC adventures…next time I’ll have my DSLR camera tied to my hand the whole time!!!!!

These are memories that I’ll treasure forever…and I’m so happy I made myself take my fancy camera out for the day…I only wish I had taken it out EVERY DAY!!!!!
