I have to preface this blog post by saying that I truly have a love affair with New York City!!! I visited for the first time last year with Kevin and fell in LOVE!! I instantly knew that we had to bring the girls back. The city makes me feel ALIVE!!! It is such a blessing to live on the coast in a small, seaside town….but I’ve discovered that I NEED some city time too! The sounds, lights, people, food, shows, even the hustle and bustle…..it makes me so happy!!!
So as we planned to share the city with our girls this year, Grace said that she wanted a mini Senior Portrait session that captured a little bit of the city and our time there. Well of course the two littles chimed in that they didn’t want to be left out and would need portraits too. I was only too happy to oblige!!!! 🙂
We had a whirlwind trip (that blog post will be coming soon)…full of two Broadway shows, museums, tours, great eats…whew, we were BUSY! So trying to plan a quick shoot in the city with limited time was a challenge. On the morning that we were to fly out, the girls got an early start and we headed out. They decided to stay in Mid-town within walking distance. They just wanted some shots with buildings and of course we grabbed a few with the Radio City Studios in our background. Then we did a big loop and did a few at Rockefeller Plaza.
It was quick, but it was fun!! Madelyn realized that she didn’t like strangers watching her…I told her she didn’t know them, they didn’t know her, and she’d never see them again. She wasn’t buying it! 🙂 We worked around the morning sidewalk traffic and got some great stuff!! Wonderful memories for sure!!!
Enjoy their sneak peek!!
Blessings,
Mommy xoxo
