This gorgeous night by the sea was magical!! It was perfect weather….okay, maybe a little on the warm side….but it was a gorgeous night! Jordan had planned her session perfectly. Her makeup was flawless. Her hair was beautiful. And thanks to her job at Lovely’s, she had impeccable clothing pieces! Every outfit was a perfect match to her personality and style!! We planned our route through the Beaufort streets based on which outfit would coordinate best. Yes, I put lots of thought into my Senior Sessions!! And praise the LORD….she brought her prom gown!!! I LOVE a girl in an evening gown!!!! It was so perfect under those live oaks by the water….truly southern charm!!
Jordan was so much fun as was her mom Lana!! We laughed, we walked miles (at least it felt like it)….and Jordan was in platform heels…God bless her, we posed, and we shot behind the scenes footage (thanks to her awesome boyfriend)! Jordan was a natural in front of the camera!! It was like she was meant to model!!
But it was quite funny when we were wrapping it all up and she said she usually gets nervous and her lips quiver. OMG….I have the same problem when I’m nervous!!! And my voice cracks!!! Eeeekkkk!! But I told her she did a good job of keeping that lip under control. 🙂
I always ask my clients how they found me because I like to thank my prior clients if they referred someone. Jordan’s mom said a teacher friend told her to check out my work (thanks Ms. Munch 🙂 ) . So she had Jordan look through several photographers pages. To my surprise, Jordan said she loved my blog!! Ahhhh….I finally met the ONE person who’s reading my blog!!! Yay!!! No seriously, she said after reading my blog, she felt like she knew me and would be comfortable working with me. That I wouldn’t be weird (whew!) and she liked my sense of humor.
So if you are a photographer…keep writing!!! Our blogs are where our clients and potential clients get to know us. Photography is so personal, especially portrait work. And for teens, it’s even more personal. It’s just them and their photographer. It can be quite awkward for a teenager….so open the door to your heart on your blog or through social media. I feel a blog article about just this concept being born right now….check back this week and I’ll give you some tips for sharing your life with your audience. But thank you Jordan (and Lana) for taking a chance on me!! It was such a blessing meeting you ladies…you are goregous and precious Jordan. You’ve got big things coming your way sweet girl!! Enjoy this sneak peek…omg…there are a TON of images for your gallery!!!
Blessings,
Miss Corry xoxo
