Miss Elizabeth is such a gem! She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside!! Elizabeth has a heart of gold and a gorgeous smile to go with it! We had a blast shooting this session in our downtown area with her mom and boyfriend David. I LOVE her mom Mary, so it was so nice to be able to spend the evening together for such a special occassion. Can I just say that Elizabeth’s wardrobe choices were on point and we even coordinated her shoes to match the location where we were shooting…..a planning consultation before your session always helps with choices like that. 🙂 And guess what?!?! It’s included with your portrait session!!! 🙂
So we met downtown and casually strolled through the streets finding little spots to stop and shoot in. I love it when clients trust my vision and will hop into the craziest of locations for that perfect shot! And Elizabeth was on board for anything! We even got to the docks and there were tons of people….did that deter Elizabeth? Ummm…NO! I was like, “Elizabeth are you sure you want to go down and shoot in front of all of those people?” I love how determined she is….she said, “Nope, I got it!” And the water shots were soooooo perfect!!
Speaking of the water shots, can I just say that I was not prepared for the emotion of the night! 🙂 David is getting ready to leave for college this week and watching these two together will melt your heart. As I began to shoot, I remembered being young and in love when Kevin and I were this age and he was away in the Marine Corps. I did a few shots and showed her the back of the camera…and then I saw her tears. OMG….my heart began to break. I remember the goodbyes, the distance….after 25 years together, it’s still not easy. But love always endures! I am so proud of them….they will look back on these days and these portraits and remember the love, the fear, the tears….but also have a great story to share!
Much love and many blessings,
Miss Corry
