Where do I even begin….we go way back with this fun family!!! Kevin and I met Nalani and Dustin when we were stationed in Iwakuni, Japan back in 2000. Wow…I can’t believe that’s been 16 years ago?!?!?! Grace was 2 and none of the other kiddos had even been thought about when we met. 🙂 I was there the day Bailey was born in the Japanese hospital while Kevin drove to Hiroshima to pick up Nalani’s mom from the airport….she still laughs about that drive!!! We made many wonderful memories in Japan together… hikes, waterslides, earthquakes, camping at the beach…you name it, we did it! It was a blast.

Fast forward to Yuma, AZ where we welcomed our twins and Makenna to our crazy crew. The desert was hot and we were tired!! Hahahahah….five kiddos under five!!! We were a sight to see.

From there, we went to SC and they went on MSG duty for three years.

Wouldn’t you know it, we all ended up in Hawaii after that and had a wonderful time enjoying paradise!! The days of lounging on the beach, boogie boarding, and eating spam musubi and Teddy’s burgers were heavenly (oh wait, and we did survive 2 deployments in there somewhere too)!!

We came to NC and they joined us a few years later. I can’t believe we all have teenagers now and Grace is driving with Bailey coming up right behind her?!?! How have the years flown by so fast?!?!! It has been such a blessing having the Nelsons in our lives and we are thankful to have so many wonderful memories with them throughout the years. Enjoy these updated family portraits….the last time we did their portraits was on North Beach at KBay…can’t believe how much the girls have grown. So fun!!!
