This was such a special day for the Warners!! I was so happy that Mandy and Ryan asked me to be there for his retirement ceremony last week!! Our family has known the Warners since were we neighbors and carpool buddies in Hawaii. Kevin and Ryan went through deployments, trainings, and long work days while Mandy and I kept things rolling on Bordelon Loop. The kids played, the guys served, and we worked hard to make a great life for our families in Paradise. Flash forward and we all ended up here in NC for our next tour. However, we were on opposite ends of the county and when you add more deployments, teen kiddos, busy sports schedules, jobs for Mandy and I…..time got away from us and Facebook has been our saving grace!
So when she wrote to ask if I’d be there when Ryan said goodbye to our beloved Corps, I was soooo thrilled! As I stood and listened to all that Ryan has accomplished and all that he has done in his career I was so proud of them all! He has served his Country and his Corps well!! He has taken care of his Marines and his family!! Ryan touched so many lives during his years of service and has left an indelible mark on the aviation world. He will be greatly missed, but big things await for their sweet family!
