I LOVE this family so much!! Not only do I have a BLAST every time I do their portraits….but we are a special kind of close with this family. My Grace has spent many mornings, afternoons, and evenings babysitting these sweet boys. She adores them and the feeling is mutual. 🙂 These rough and tumble boys are such a joy to be around. Lana and I also share the connection of being “twin mommies” and we share stories about life with multiples. Steve is a Marine also, so we have that in common….we all stick together and lean on each other to get through the tough days of this crazy life.

But Lana and I also share another bond…a friend bond that has gone unsaid the last six months. We have supported a dear family that has needed us so much. Our little people are helping their little people heal from a tragic loss. God has placed Lana and I in a special place, for this special time…for this special reason. We are called to love our neighbor as ourselves…and Lana and I are walking along that path with the McCawleys right now….hand in hand. We sometimes don’t have words…but we have “the look” and the love that we pass to one another and to our dear friends. And we just do what we can to help.

The Thompsons have been such a blessing to those around them and I am honored that they asked me to capture this special time in their lives. May these portraits remind you of the days when there were just five of you….and get ready for baby #4!!!! xoxo
